At Walden Structures, all of our buildings utilize a clear span roof truss, which provides increased strength and flexibility over our competitors’ intermediate posted ridge beam structures. The roof truss is a durable frame, which runs along the mating-line of each modular floor and is supported by a steel post at each end, eliminating the need for interior support posts. This means an open floor plan, giving you an increased variety of options when designing the interior of the building. The frame also has more strength and durability than traditional structures built on site, allowing you to transport and relocate the building without incurring any structural fatigue.
As an alternative to our standard insulation, here at Walden Structures we have recently incorporated Knauf EcoBatt Insulation as a viable product. This new insulation is made with rapidly renewable organic materials, rather than oil-based chemicals, and excludes chemicals used in other insulations, including phenol, formaldehyde, acrylics and artificial colors. Constructed with ECOSE Technology, the insulation is comprised of sand (one of the most abundant renewable resources), 30% recycled glass, and helps building projects meet green building standards as set by the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System. The use of Knauf EcoBatt Insulation is just one way Walden Structures is becoming more earth-friendly and helping to reduce our carbon footprint.
